"Women Are..."

An amalgam of contrasting ideas, set at odds with one another by external expectations. Women are strong and sturdy and foundational but soft and nurturing and silent. Women are integral to our race, yet have been universally restricted from the rights they earn as part of it.

Women are mothers, sisters, wives, and daughters but have been allowed little outside these roles. They are beacons of infinite possibility, the voices of the future that have been unheard for too long. Women are people, people who have had to fight against the pretense of their gender, people who have had to justify their basic right to self-expression.
